Atif Aslam Biography
Atif Aslam was born on 12th March, 1983 in Wazirabad, Pakistan. Atif Aslam completed his education in Rawalpindi & Lahore.
Atif started his education from Kimberley Hall School, Model Town Lahore and studied in different institutions of Lahore & Rawalpindi including Divisional public School, Lahore & PAF College, Lahore.
Atif Aslam used to sing with his friends at his college canteen. Thereafter he started taking part in college singing competitions and won all the competitions.
When Atif Aslam met with Gohar Mumtaz, future JAL bandmate and guitarist, they started doing mini restaurants at friend’s places & different restaurants like Uncle Bubba's Rabba Dabba & McDonalds. JAL’s first public hit was “Aadat”. Aadat was aired on different radio channels, music websites and then its video was aired on ARY channel.
After the success of Aadat, there were disputes among the JAL which resulted in atif’s solo career. Atif’s first album “Jal Pari” was released on 19th July, 2004 and was decleared as the biggest hit of the year. His most popular album “Doorie” was released on 22nd December, 2009.
Now Atif Aslam is one of the most popular Pakistani Singers Atif has won a number of awards in his nascent career life including one of the Pakistan’s top civil awards Tamga-e-Imtiaz (Medal of Distinction) by President of Pakistan in 2008.
